Gourmet Liquid Ant Bait is the first liquid ant bait to use Disodium Octaborate Tetrahydrate (DOT) as the Active Ingredient and to be labeled for dilution with any food grade liquids. DOT is a Boron salt which is toxicologically similar to Boric Acid and Borax, but has several unique characteristics that affect how it can be formulated. Gourmet Liquid Ant Bait is effective in treating very large ant infestations and does not have many of the problems associated with broadcast pesticide applications, such as ground water contamination or killing of non-target target insects that can be beneficial to controlling pests. Gourmet Liquid Ant Bait is the only bait being used commercially to treat ants that affect agricultural production and it is the only liquid ant bait certified for use in Organic Agriculture. Gourmet Liquid Ant Bait contains a special blend of ingredients that are scientifically formulated to mimic the "honeydew" produced by aphids; this "honeydew" serves as the main food source for many of the most aggressive ant species such as Argentine Ants, Odorous House Ants, Carpenter Ants, White-Footed Ants, and Crazy Ants. Our formulation attracts all of these ants and many others. Roaches are also highly attracted to it.
